Who we are

This website is run by Mohit, an insurance advisor licensed in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, operating as "Insured by Mohit". You can reach me at [email protected] or 587-583-5151.

What I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me, plus basic, anonymous website statistics:

• Checklist sign-up: your first name, email address and phone number.
• Booking a call: the details you enter on my Calendly booking page.
• Messages: anything you send me by Instagram, email, phone or text.
• Website statistics: anonymous visit data such as pages viewed, country and the website that referred you, collected through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you personally.

The time-off calculator and coverage finder run only in your browser. Nothing you type into them is saved or sent to me.

How I use it

• To send you the checklist you asked for.
• To reply to your questions and schedule or hold the calls you book.
• To follow up by email, phone or text about insurance options, only if you agreed to it.
• To understand how the website is used so I can improve it.

I do not sell or rent your personal information.

Your consent

By submitting a form, booking a call or messaging me, you consent to me using your information as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. If you apply for coverage, I will ask for your consent separately before sharing your information with an insurer.

Who I share it with

I only share your information with trusted service providers that help me run my business, and only as much as they need:

• Cloudflare (website hosting and anonymous statistics)
• Calendly (call booking)
• My email marketing provider (sending the checklist and follow-ups)
• Insurance companies, only when you choose to apply for coverage

Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, such as in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law and insurance regulations. When it is no longer needed, I delete it or make it anonymous.

Keeping it safe

I use reasonable safeguards, including secure, encrypted connections and reputable providers, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but I take care to protect your data.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Contact me at [email protected] or 587-583-5151 and I will respond within 30 days. If you have concerns, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
